Nuevo Vallarta fishing report September

This September’s Nuevo Vallarta fishing update began with a continuation of the fishing trends observed last month. The abundance of marlin, sailfish, and mahi-mahi are once again making their presence felt in our fishing grounds inshore and offshore. The weather has remained ideal, marked by a few offshore storms. Many anglers may not be aware that September is one of Nuevo Vallarta’s prime fishing months. This is due to a combination of factors. First, the reduced number of visitors as schools has resumed in both the United States and Mexico. Second, the increased influx of bait into our bay and offshore fishing hot spots. As my fishing reports consistently emphasize, tracking the bait trail is key; being on top of the bait ensures success in catching fish here in Mexico. Another factor is the continuation of longer summer days, with the sun rising at 6:30 AM and setting around 7:30 PM in September. This extended daylight provides ample time to pursue various types of fish. Dorados, sailfish, marlin, tuna, and other game fish thrive in the bay of Nuevo Vallarta during this month. Now, let’s dive into our September fishing locations. read more
