When Fall approaches here in Nuevo Vallarta we are hurrying for the upcoming tournaments, the changing of the weather, and the huge fish that will be coming to our shores this October. I know this is when most places in Canada and the United States are winterizing their boats. Well, we are just getting started here in Mexico. The Fall season brings many changes and all kinds of pelagic fish. From good eating to some of the hardest fighting fish in the world live here. Let’s take a look at some of these changes and the fish we will be catching this October as Fall rolls around.
Nuevo Vallarta fishing report for the month of September 2022
This Labor day our fishing report starts off with more great news of what we had last month. The larger marlin, sailfish and mah-mahi have started to move into our fishing grounds here in Nuevo Vallarta. . The weather has been perfect with the minus passing of a few storms offshore. Not many people know September as one of the better months to fish in Nuevo Vallarta. First, there are less people here with school back in full swing in the United States and Mexico. Second, we have more bait that comes into our bay and offshore fishing area. If you read my fishing reports you will always here me talk about following the bait trail. If you are on the bait you will be on the fish. One of the last factors is it’s still summertime and the days are long. Sun comes up here in September at 7.30 am and sets about 8.30 p.m. Giving up plenty of daylight hrs. to hunt down any type of fish you may be looking for. September is a great month for dorados, sailfish,marlin,tuna and all the game fish you want to catch in the bay of Nuevo Vallarta. Let’s talk about where we fish in the month of September.
Nuevo Vallarta fishing report for August 2022
Not many places in Mexico or the United States can compare to the fishing mecca that is Nuevo Vallarta during the summertime. In August you can expect to be catching good numbers of Mahi-Mahi also known as dorados, yellowtail, fast-feeding sailfish, and even some tuna here in our world-class bay. This fishing honey hole we call Bay of flags. Nuevo Vallarta is fast becoming the go-to place for summertime fishing. With its secluded beaches, nightlife, incredible restaurants, and 5-star hotel it’s no wonder so many fishermen are here each summer.
Nuevo Vallarta fishing Report July
Fishing in July has some fantastic advantages here in Nuevo Vallarta. Most anglers, Captains, families, and fishermen know July is one of the best months to fish here in Mexico. The big game fish come out to play and it all starts around July 4th. There will be a lot of fireworks in the sky and along our coastal waters. Along with some of the best deep-sea fishing in Nuevo Vallarta. We are also having a marlin and yellowfin tuna tournament this July so you know the fishing will be good. We have huge Marlin, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and the most sought-after yellowfin tuna just to mention a few. If you’re looking for a big game action July is the month you want to be here. There is also some fantastic inshore fishing here in our bay.

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report May
We all know that May is for mothers day and excellent fishing and Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. If you’re visiting down here to Nuevo Vallarta in the month of May, you’re gonna be able to take out several different fishing trips. In may we have the changing of the waters where cooler water is meeting warmer water. This is great in several ways as the warmer waters bring in the larger fish and all kinds of baitfish. The mullet, shad, sardines, bonitos, and goggle-eye are just a few.
